How to Care for Porcelain Mugs

Porcelain cups and mugs are extremely durable, and if taken care of they will last a lifetime. They are easy to wipe clean with a damp cloth or sponge. If they become stained, it is not advised to use a scourer to clean them, as this can damage their glaze. Instead, soak them in warm water containing a spoonful of bicarbonate of soda. Diluted vinegar also works well as a cleaning agent. It is not a good idea to machine wash porcelain, as this can lead to chipping.
