The next time you're organising an outdoor event, whether a party, a BBQ, a concert or a sporting event, you may want to rethink disposable cups. They're certainly convenient, and while we can supply them, they're bought in bulk quantities of 5000 units and more. Not only are they unsuitable for smaller scale events, more importantly they're flimsy, disposable, forgettable, and leave behind plenty of trash. 

The alternative is a reusable cup. Just like reusable carry cups are intended to cut down on waste, and provide a handy and memorable product that will get plenty of use, reusable plastic stadium cups, are a great way to avoid the problems of disposable plastic cups. 

Do you drink a lot of coffee or tea? Is your favourite mug now filled with unsightly brown rings on the inside? Have you fallen prey to coffee and tea stains? If so, you can restore your mug to sparkling condition with some common non-toxic household products and a bit of elbow grease.

Vinegar is mildly acidic and useful for cleaning, while baking soda (alternatively you can use salt) can be applied as an abrasive and used to scrub the surface clean. 

To use vinegar to clean your cup of stains just:

1. Add a mixture of boiling hot water and white vinegar
2. Let it sit and cool
3. Pour out the mixture and wipe down the insides of the cup

Slowly more and more businesses are selling reusable mugs and offering discounts to customers who use these products. It may seem like a simple marketing tool to promote your brand, but there are many reasons why reusable mugs are superior to disposable coffee cups.

Americans alone consume about 146 billion cups of coffee per year, and 25 billion of those are served in disposable coffee cups. Disposable cups require large amounts of resources to produce, including large amounts of wood or petroleum, energy and water. They also cannot be recycled and end up in landfill, where Styrofoam cups won’t decompose for 500 years!
